Overview

These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases made through the Tatawai Botanicals website. By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below.

 

Order Acceptance

Placing an order on our website constitutes an offer to purchase.

Orders are not accepted until they have been reviewed and confirmed for dispatch.
We reserve the right to cancel or decline any order prior to dispatch, including where:

  • products are unavailable 
  • a pricing or listing error has occurred 
  • we are unable to fulfil the order 

If an order is cancelled after payment has been processed, a full refund will be issued.


Pricing & Availability

All prices are listed in NZD and include GST.

Prices and product availability may change without notice, particularly during initial release periods.

 

Shipping & Delivery

Processing

Orders are typically processed within 3 business days.

Delivery

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary depending on location and courier services.

Once dispatched, delivery is managed by third-party courier providers. Tracking details will be provided so you can follow your delivery. For the quickest updates, we recommend contacting the courier directly. If you need assistance, we are happy to help where possible.

Delays

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • courier service disruptions 
  • weather events 
  • rural delivery timeframes 
  • other external factors 

However, we will assist where possible to help resolve delivery issues.

 

Title & Risk

Ownership (title) of products passes to you once full payment has been received.

Risk in the products passes to you once the order has been delivered to the address provided at checkout.

Delivery is considered complete when the parcel is recorded as delivered by the courier.

If a parcel is marked as delivered but cannot be located, we will assist with courier enquiries, but we are not liable for loss once delivery has been confirmed.


Returns & Support

Change of Mind

We do not offer refunds for change-of-mind purchases.

Damaged or Faulty Items

If your order arrives damaged or you believe there is a quality issue, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with a photo of the item and packaging.

We will arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate. 


The Tatawai Comfort Promise

Skin that is reactive or overstimulated can respond unpredictably.

If your skin does not tolerate a Tatawai product within 30 days of purchase, we offer a refund of the purchase price (excluding shipping) for first-time purchases.

This reflects a considered approach:

  • patch testing prior to first use 
  • introducing one product at a time 
  • applying sparingly during initial use 

This approach aligns with our Skin Barrier Reset Guide and broader formulation philosophy. 

Limits apply:

  • first-time purchases only 
  • one product per customer 


Product Use & Expectations

Tatawai products are designed to support the skin over time through consistency, rather than immediate or intensive results.

We recommend:

  • patch testing prior to first use 
  • introducing products gradually 
  • following usage guidance provided 

Individual skin responses may vary.


Allergy & Sensitivity Disclaimer

While formulations are designed to support sensitive and reactive skin, individual responses may vary.

Tatawai is not liable for adverse reactions where:

  • products have not been used as directed 
  • patch testing has not been conducted 
  • known sensitivities have not been considered 

 

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by New Zealand law, Tatawai Botanicals is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of our products or website.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights available under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.


Product Information & Transparency

We aim to provide clear and accurate product information.

Each product may include access to additional details via Product Transparency pages, including:

  • ingredient information 
  • batch details 
  • recycling guidance 

Where updates are required, these will be communicated through these channels. 


Privacy

We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
